Dr. Veronica Ann DiFresco was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Her love of the Washington DC area began when she attended Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at New England Medical Center | Tufts University. With over twenty years of clinical experience, she began her practice in Boston, Massachusetts and New Haven, Connecticut prior to returning to the Washington DC area in 2004. She practiced at Rockville Internal Medicine Group and Bethesda Physicians before joining Foxhall Internists.
Recognized as one of the top internists in the DC area in Washingtonian Magazine’s Top Doctors and Consumers’ Checkbook, Dr. DiFresco develops personalized care for her patients and cherishes the long-term relationships she has with them. She has expertise in the coordination of care with multiple specialists and chronic disease management.
Dr. DiFresco’s outside interests include being a Peloton enthusiast, Italian cooking, and attending theater. She lives in North Bethesda, Maryland with her husband Dr. Lawrence Bassin, a gastroenterologist, and has two children, a rising senior at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart and a rising sophomore at Georgetown University.
