Biography
Dr. Veronica Ann DiFresco was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated magna cum laude from StonyBrook University. Her love of the Washington DC area began when she attended Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Dr. DiFresco completed her Internal Medicine residency at New England Medical Center | Tufts University. She has over twenty years of clinical experience. She began her practice in Boston, Massachusetts and New Haven, Connecticut prior to returning to the Washington DC area in 2004. She practiced at Rockville Internal Medicine Group and Bethesda Physicians before joining Foxhall Internists.
Dr. DiFresco is board certified in Internal Medicine. She has been recognized as one of the top internists in the DC area in Washingtonian Magazine’s Top Doctors and Consumers’ Checkbook.
Dr. DiFresco develops personalized care for her patients and cherishes the long term relationships she has with them. She has expertise in the coordination of care with multiple specialists and chronic disease management. She has extensive experience in travel medicine, adolescent medicine, and well-woman’s health.
Outside interests include being a Peloton enthusiast, Italian cooking, and attending theater. She lives in North Bethesda, Maryland with her husband Dr. Lawrence Bassin, a gastroenterologist and her two children.
