Dear Patients,
I am saddened to inform you of a significant change in my professional practice. Due to a recent diagnosis of leiomyosarcoma, a rare aggressive soft tissue cancer, I am unable to practice medicine again and have made the difficult decision to retire from my medical practice immediately. This decision has not been made lightly, and it comes with a heavy heart.
Your health and well-being have always been my top priority, and I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition for your ongoing care. Foxhall Internists has excellent physicians, and I hope you will consider switching to one of my colleagues.
This is a sudden and unexpected development for myself and for Foxhall Internists, so the practice needs sufficient time to help with your transition to another physician. Dr. Sandra Delistathis and Dr. Matthew Parker are accepting patients into their membership plans. Dr. Umhau, Dr. Hansen, Dr. Dooley and Dr. Saleh may be available to accept family members of their existing patients into their membership programs on a limited basis. The practice plans to add at least one physician to the office before the end of the year.
