Biography

Dr. Linda Yau graduated summa cum laude with distinction in all subjects from Cornell University. She received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1994. Dr. Yau finished her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital on the Osler Medical Service. She worked for the Johns Hopkins Medical Services Corporation at the East Baltimore Medical Center and served on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins Hospital until moving to the Washington, DC area in 1999.

Dr. Yau specializes in primary care of the whole patient.  She is interested in promoting health and wellness in her patients while following best practices in preventative medicine.  She is a skilled diagnostician who listens carefully to patient concerns and addresses issues promptly.  She has special interests in hypertension, high cholesterol management, general prevention and wellness, and overall management of chronic health issues.  She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. She has been listed as one of the best doctors by Washingtonian magazine and is the proud recipient of the 2021 Johns Hopkins Heritage Award. Dr. Yau lives in Maryland with her husband, an ophthalmologist, and their three children.
