Biography
A life-long Washingtonian, Dr. Umhau graduated from Davidson College and then completed medical school at Duke University. His Internal Medicine residency was at Georgetown University, followed by an additional year as Chief Medical Resident. He has been proud to practice medicine with Foxhall Internists since 1989.
Dr. Umhau emphasizes general internal medicine and is particularly interested in diagnosis and prevention. He has found great satisfaction in long-term patient connections.
